1. Who we are

Culinary Coverage is a licensed insurance producer in the State of Georgia (License #3847979) specializing in property and casualty insurance for restaurants, bars, caterers, and other food and beverage businesses. References to "we," "us," and "our" refer to Culinary Coverage.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us directly, primarily through our online quote request form and through any subsequent communications with our advisors. The categories of information we collect include:

• Contact information: name, email address, phone number, mailing address.
• Business information: legal business name, DBA, business address, industry, ownership structure, year founded, number of owners, number of employees, gross sales, payroll, website, and franchise status.
• Property and operational details: location ownership status, value of equipment and additions, fire and security system details, hood-cleaning frequency, alcohol service practices, hours and seasonality, third-party delivery use, and general manager experience.
• Risk and history information: prior insurance claims, prior business-related legal or financial events, current insurance carrier (if any), and desired coverage start date.
• Technical information: we do not currently use analytics cookies. Cloudflare may collect basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes as part of routing traffic to our site.

3. How we use your information

We use information you provide solely to:

• Prepare and deliver an insurance quote tailored to your business.
• Submit applications to insurance carriers on your behalf, when you authorize us to do so.
• Communicate with you about your quote, policy, claim, or renewal.
• Comply with applicable insurance laws and regulations, including recordkeeping requirements under Georgia law.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with parties unrelated to your insurance application or policy.

4. Who we share your information with

We share your information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed to provide the services you've requested:

• Insurance carriers and underwriters we approach on your behalf to obtain a quote or place coverage.
• Service providers that help us operate our business — for example, Formspree (which delivers form submissions to us via email), our email provider, and our website host (Cloudflare). These providers are contractually limited to using your information only to provide services to us.
• Government authorities or regulators when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or in connection with the Georgia Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner.

5. How long we keep your information

We retain quote-request and policy-related records for the period required by Georgia insurance recordkeeping rules (generally five years from the date of application or policy expiration, whichever is later) and for as long as needed to service any active relationship. After that period, records are securely destroyed unless a longer retention is required by law.

6. How we protect your information

Your information is transmitted to us over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored in business systems protected by access controls and standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to use industry-standard practices to protect your data.

7. Your choices and rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you by contacting us at team@culinarycoverage.com. We will respond within 30 days. Note that some information must be retained to comply with Georgia insurance regulations even if you ask us to delete it; in those cases, we will explain why and securely destroy what we are not required to keep.

You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or contacting us directly. Transactional communications related to your quote or policy will continue.

8. Children

This website is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be communicated through this page and, where appropriate, by direct notice.
